About the Company Lattice Inc. develops applications software for users of mobile computers in a variety of industries, including medical institutions, electric & gas utilities, equipment service companies, and manufacturers. The handheld software solutions provided by Lattice automate many tasks for mobile workers such as collection of medical samples, inspection of physical infrastructure, meter reading, equipment maintenance, inventory accounting, work order processing, sales force automation, and data collection. Lattice's applications implement advanced features such as wireless connectivity, barcode scanning, barcode printing and RFID. Lattice is widely recognized as the first company to provide the C programming language on the IBM PC in 1982. Lattice C remained the premier C compiler on the PC platform for many years and was ported to a number of operating systems including DOS, OS/2, MVS, VMS, Unix and AmigaDOS. Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer Scope & ResponsibilityIn this role, the candidate will be responsible for developing test plans and automated test scripts to test the Lattice MediCopia product. Testing responsibilities will be a mix of automated testing and manual testing to support both new product development and regression testing. The candidate must be familiar with the entire QA process from initial requirements assessment and planning through final product acceptance. Background RequiredThe successful candidate should have a strong technical background with at least 5 years experience in a software product quality assurance position and 2 to 3 years experience with automation. Experience with mobile applications and health care is a plus. Familiarity with the following technologies is expected:
Excellent written/verbal communication skills are also required. Education RequiredA Bachelor of Science or a Masters degree in Computer Science from a major university. Personal TraitsMust be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced small team environment while applying software engineering disciplines to the software development process. A willingness to roll-up the sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done is essential. The ability to work well both individually as well as with others required for this position. Demonstrated experience showing resourcefulness, a strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments with minimal supervision are required.
